Tonight, when AS Roma takes on perennial powerhouse and current Serie A #2 Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico here in Rome, the viewers back home will feel a little bit closer to the action, as SKY Italia will broadcast the game live in 3D for the first time. SKY launched their 3D channel earlier this year, but tonight the Serie A will make its debut with the new technology. The 3D channel comes standard with most SKY packages, but special viewing glasses are required, so if you’re not lucky enough to enjoy the extra-dimensional action in the comfort of your own home, it’s probably a good idea to tote along those 3D lenses you’ve been saving since that midnight showing of Justin Bieber: Never Say Never Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon. The game starts at at 8:45, and features Francesco Totti’s first appearance on the starting lineup since his injury earlier this season. Watch out for flying balls.
