Word of the Day: Scorciatoia

This one is pretty straightforward. A scorciatoia, (pronounced scor-cha-toya), means “a shortcut.”

Scorciare in Italian means to shorten or to reduce. And from what I can tell from an unclear etymological websitetiare also means to shorten, or to abbreviate. So together they make, doubly short?

Anywho, a scorciatoia is a shortcut. Learn it. Use it.
