Photo of the Day: Bernini’s Triton

Baroque bad-ass Gian Lorenzo Bernini had his hand in a few of Rome’s most well-known fountains, including the elegantly muscular travertine Triton in Piazza Barberini.  This photo is from a bright May afternoon, but stop by at twilight to catch the lit-up seagod glowing against the cobalt sky.

Where: Piazza Barberini, Barberini stop on the Metro A
How: Walk, bus, Metro or just pop on over after a stroll down the Via Veneto
Why: Bernini rocks.
