HEY TODAY! – Pretty pretty awesome electro music German duo, Hey Today will be DJing tonight at Testaccio’s AKAB. They will be followed by the resident AKAB DJs. Just putting it out there- if you show up, you may run into a few Young in Rome editors/writers, dancing their faces off, as I like to put it.

SMASH! POMPO NELLE CASSE – Back-up for my dancing-my-face-off plans at AKAB is Circolo degli Illuminati‘s event tonight, featuring Italian’s own electro-rap group, Power Francers. They will be followed by the resident DJs of Circolo degli Illuminati.

Velvet Cabaret- Friday I’m In Love – If you head over to the Micca Club around 10 PM, you can catch the famous burlesque show by the cast of Velvet Cabaret. And after 11 PM or so, they will be playing a mix of ‘Top 50’s Rock’n’Roll – 60’s Surf & Soul – Italian Beat 60’s – Disco Dance 70’s – 80’s Pop Hits.’ It’s actually pretty fun to dance to music that you would only otherwise hear at weddings and bar mitzvahs.

KOUDLAM– Super ‘in’ and famous French electro and indie-pop musician, Koudlam, is playing at Qube on Saturday night. (He is also dubbed the ‘French Symphonic Composer’) The word around town is that this one is not to be missed. (Even though, it seems to be in the middle of no where, no not EUR this time).

tUnE yArDs + Steffi – Kicking off Lanificio’s ‘Female in March’ series is American artist, Merrill Garbus of the Tune Yards, showcasing her unique mix of folk and R&B. Following is Steffi, the fierce female resident electro DJ of Berlin’s super famous and awesome Panorama Bar (I ❤ Berlin!)
